A monthly meetup is coming!
I am putting together a regular monthly gathering place for our Blanketeers, and I will be announcing the location shortly. It will be a standing date on the calendar — bring a project, bring your questions, or just bring yourself! We will need help binding quilts, adding labels, and packing if you would like to help besides stitching.
Sign up for our newsletter below and I will let you know as soon as the location is set. You will also get chapter news, blanket days and shop updates — once or twice a month, no more.
Volunteers — known as Blanketeers — create and donate new, handmade blankets for children in crisis. Coming together for a Make a Blanket Day really does feed the soul of a Blanketeer, and it makes a wonderful service project for all ages.
If you can quilt, crochet, knit or tie, please consider joining us for a Make a Blanket Day — or hosting one for a group in your own area. You do not have to be an expert to make a blanket that is beautiful to a child.
If you have a group who would like to volunteer — a church, a guild, a school, a scout troop, a workplace — get in touch and I will happily arrange a Make a Blanket Day for you.
