Have a quilt in mind that doesn’t exist yet? Let’s design it together.

Maybe you have a room that needs just the right quilt. Maybe you’ve saved a handful of fabrics, photographs, colors, or old quilts you love. Maybe you know exactly what you want — or only how you want it to feel.

The Custom Quilt Design Consultation is where we begin.

During our free 30-minute phone consultation, we’ll talk through the size, colors, fabrics, style, and feeling of your quilt, as well as who it is being made for and how it will be used. You are welcome to email me inspiration photographs, a Pinterest board, favorite fabrics, or photos of the room before our call — or simply bring an idea.

Afterward, I’ll develop a plan for your quilt, confirm the price, and create a private listing for you. Nothing moves into production until you know exactly what we’re making together and what it will cost.

Your quilt is made one at a time, for one home, from fabrics chosen especially for it.

3. We spend 30 minutes on the phone going through the design together.
4. I follow up with a plan and a firm quote, then send you a private listing for your quilt.

What it costs

The consultation is free, and there’s no obligation to go ahead.

What a custom quilt costs

Custom quilts run from $185 to $1,285 depending on size and how involved the design is. They start from the same tiers as my made-to-order quilts:

• Baby — from $185
• Lap / Throw — from $285
• Twin — from $385
• Full — from $485
• Queen — from $585

Those are typical prices for a simple to intermediate design — pieced blocks and straight seams, the kind of construction you see in my patterns. Appliqué, embroidery and other embellishment are extra, and we’ll price those once I know what you have in mind. Your quote is confirmed before any work begins.

Stewardship & Stitches is one of the ways I personally help support Project Linus of Alabama Gulf Coast, where I too volunteer my time and money to help provide handmade blankets for children going through illness, loss, and difficult days. Our chapter stays open only if and when we meet our minimum $500 fundraising quota each year.

What this shop earns helps me keep this chapter going in two ways: I contribute personally to a large portion of the fundraising quota if I don’t find other benefactors, and, any part time income helps me stay available to fulfill the duties and responsibilities as Chapter Coordinator for Project Linus of Alabama Gulf Coast—so every pattern purchased and every quilt commissioned becomes, in its own small way, part of another blanket made to bring comfort to children in crisis.
