Small Bundles, Big Difference

There is something wonderfully satisfying about a 3-yard quilt.

The fabric is already coordinated, the pattern is approachable, and before long, those three yards have become something useful, beautiful, and ready to give.

That is exactly the idea behind a new monthly feature at The Quilted Cow of Gulf Shores in support of Project Linus of Alabama Gulf Coast.

Monthly Featured 3-Yard Bundles at The Quilted Cow of Gulf Shores for Project Linus of Alabama Gulf Coast: a 3-yard fabric bundle with a simple, charity-friendly pattern at a special monthly discount, and bundle buyers can enter a raffle to win a prize.

Each month, The Quilted Cow will offer a featured 3-yard fabric bundle with a simple, charity-friendly pattern at a special discount for quilters who would like to turn it into a Project Linus quilt.

It is an easy way to choose a project, enjoy some beautiful fabric, and add another finished quilt to the blankets we are collecting for children and families in our community.

And because a little extra fun never hurts, bundle buyers can also enter a raffle to win a prize.

For those of us who have been quilting for a while, this may be the best part: there is no complicated planning required. Pick up the bundle, take home the pattern, and sew.

Maybe it becomes your next weekend project. Maybe it comes along to one of our Make-a-Blanket Days. Maybe it is simply the quilt you work on between everything else already waiting in the sewing room.

However it comes together, when it is finished, we would be delighted to send it on its way through Project Linus.

We are especially grateful to The Quilted Cow of Gulf Shores for creating another thoughtful way for local quilters to participate. Partnerships like this make it easier to turn something we already love doing into something that can bring a little warmth and comfort to a child going through a difficult time.

So the next time you are in the shop, look for the Monthly Featured 3-Yard Bundle.
